Collection Materials: Copan Dual Swab and Transport Systems
Collection Instructions:
Collection of a paired rectal swab: Carefully insert both swab tips approximately 1 cm beyond the anal sphincter and rotate gently.
Collection of a paired perirectal swab: Carefully insert both swab tips no more than 1 cm into the anal opening before the anal sphincter and rotate gently
Specimen Transport Temperature
Swabs in the transport tube can be stored at 15–28 °C for up to five days.
